The demand for semiconductor chips is growing



Specialists of the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) have prepared the May reports on the world market of semiconductor chips. She says that during the reporting period was the amount of chips sold 24.7 billion, up 4.5 % over the figure for the previous month. In annual terms, growth reached 47.6% in May of 2009, manufacturers of semiconductor chips bailed out 16.7 billion dollars.

An interesting fact is that there is a significant growing sales of personal computers, mobile communications and industrial electronic devices and equipment, enterprise-class. Most likely, it will continue until the end of this year and will exceed 2009 figures by 20% in PC and 10-12 % of mobile phones.
